Vilnius, 25 October 2016: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced further expansion of its route network from Lithuania. The airline will start operating route from Vilnius to Warsaw. The new service will commence on 18 September, 2017 and operate with four weekly flights. Tickets are already on sale at starting at only EUR 19.99*.

Besides this new route connecting Vilnius and capital of Poland, Wizz Air today announced six other new routes from Warsaw. From June 2017 the airline will start flights from Warsaw to Bratislava, Bucharest, Kiev*, Lyon, Nice in France, and Lamezia Terme in Italy.

Wizz Air has recently added several attractive destinations to its Vilnius network connecting Lithuania with Nice in France, Bari in Italy. From October 31 the airline will launch Vilnius route to Reykjavik in Iceland, while a new service to Grenoble in the French Alps will commence in January 2017.

Wizz Air is now the leading airline at Vilnius International Airport and has four aircraft and 150 employees based in the Lithuanian capital. In 2015, WIZZ carried nearly one million passengers on its low fare Vilnius routes, supporting over 700** local jobs. Wizz Air now offers a total of 33 routes to 15 countries from its three Lithuanian airports, providing affordable access between the country and the rest of Europe for both business and leisure travelers.
